About the Role

AMBA is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to support providers and members by delivering accurate, efficient, and high‑quality service. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy problem‑solving, working in a fast‑paced call center environment, and supporting customers with insurance or policy-related questions.

You will handle inbound and outbound calls, assist with eligibility and claims inquiries, and provide clear, informed guidance across a variety of insurance-based customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

+ Handle inbound calls from providers regarding eligibility and claim status

+ Work in a call center environment handling both inbound and outbound customer calls

+ Respond to standard and complex customer inquiries via phone and email in a clear, easy‑to‑understand manner

+ Research customer questions and follow up through outbound calls or email

+ Assist customers with payments, policy changes, coverage explanations, and rate questions

+ Troubleshoot basic website errors or issues

+ Respond verbally and in writing to customer correspondence using reference materials

+ Request missing or additional information needed to finalize inquiries

+ Document client issues and escalate appropriately when needed

+ Support customers with L&H (Life & Health) or P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance policy questions

Qualifications

Must-Have:

+ 1+ year of customer service experience

+ High School Diploma or GED

Nice to Have:

Experience with L&H or P&C insurance

+ Experience in a high‑volume call center

+ Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Work Environment

Training

Schedule:

+ Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours of Operation:

+ Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

+ Candidates must be available for an 8‑hour shift within this window

+ Wide schedule availability is required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Urbandale, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.31 - $17.31/hr.
