Position: Events Experience Intern
This internship will work 32 hours per week, beginning in early June and run 8 weeks through early August. The Intern will work onsite at our corporate headquarters in West Des Moines, IA.

Position Description

The Event Experience Intern supports the planning, registration, and onsite execution of ITA Group events and travel programs. This role blends responsibilities from both event operations and event registration to provide a comprehensive internship experience within our Event Services team.

The intern will collaborate with Event Managers and Registration Managers to ensure seamless attendee management, effective supplier coordination, and overall program success. Key responsibilities include supporting event logistics, maintaining registration accuracy, serving as a point of contact for attendees and suppliers, and contributing to the positive experience of program participants from planning through onsite execution.

Position Responsibilities

* Assist Event Managers and Registration Managers in preparing and executing client events and travel programs.

* Support the attendee registration process, including data entry, accuracy checks, and communication touchpoints.

* Serve as a resource and point of contact for attendees, suppliers, and internal team members regarding registration and event details.

* Help coordinate event logistics, materials, and documentation to ensure smooth onsite operations.

* Support the development and maintenance of supplier and client relationships.

* Utilize ITA Group internal systems to track event details, organize information, and update status reports.

* Contribute to a positive attendee experience through timely responses, proactive problem solving, and professional communication.

Position Requirements

* Must be a current college student.

* Pursuing a major related to Events, Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.

* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google tools.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people in a business environment.

* Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and business acumen.

* Problem-solving and decision making skills with an emphasis on solution development.

* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.

* Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and develop strong working relationships.

* Ability to think and act proactively and respond to internal customer needs in a timely manner.

* Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and meet deadlines.

* Ability to learn and effectively utilize ITA Group internal systems.
