Machinist – Level 3
Location:
Urbana, OH. Shift: 2nd shift Monday–Thursday, 3 PM–1 AM. The position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and operates CNC machines on the production line to ensure timely and accurate manufacturing of components.
- Operate CNC machines and other equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining operations.
- Assemble, repair and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. Assemble parts into sub‑units or complete units, using blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience as a machinist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with precision measuring tools and techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on machining equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in machining.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Lifting is generally at or below 30 lbs without significant repetitions. Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated. Operation of a powered industrial truck is considered at least industrial and may be considered heavy as determined by other exposures.
