About the RoleJohnson Welded Products is seeking a hands‑on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and strengthen our safety and environmental programs. In this role, you’ll be both a strategic partner and a visible floor presence — ensuring compliance, improving training and engagement, and empowering our people to work safely and sustainably every day.
What You’ll Do- Lead and continuously improve EHS programs that reduce risk, enhance safety culture, and support business goals.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.), including reporting and documentation.
- Conduct facility assessments, hazard analyses, and root‑cause investigations, and drive corrective actions.
- Develop, deliver, and track training for employees and leaders on all aspects of EHS.
- Prepare and manage ISO 14001 documentation and environmental reporting.
- Act as site liaison for external regulatory audits, inspections, and permits.
- Guide emergency response planning and lead investigations of incidents and near misses.
- Mentor, coach, and influence plant leaders and associates to take ownership of EHS performance.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
. - Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, engage teams, and drive accountability.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organization, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or REM a plus.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and environmental reporting highly valued.
