American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience, Epic proficiency, and an IL RN license for a night shift, 13-week contract.

• Float pool position covering various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Floating to multiple units is expected as a core requirement of this role

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)

• Floats to various inpatient units and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver care across diverse patient populations
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing and modifying plans of care, implementing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation
• May precept staff from various units as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after the 1-year mark
