Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Licensure & Certifications:
Active IL RN License
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS (AHA) required
PALS (AHA) required

Education:
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
Experience in Emergency Department care
Ability to assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and modify interventions as needed
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient and staff safety

Assignment Type & Schedule:
Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call, onsite within 1 hour)
Weekend shifts:
Every other
Holiday shifts:
Rotation

Provides professional nursing care in the Emergency Department, responsible for patient safety, clinical care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities Include:

- Perform patient assessment and develop care plans with collaboration from providers, family, and patient - Implement nursing interventions and modify care plan based on ongoing assessment - Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to safety standards and reporting hazards - Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families to maintain a healthy work environment - Provide constructive feedback to peers to support professional development - Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient documentation - Apply ED-specific nursing procedures and theories
