Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Emergency Department with a Level 1 Trauma designation
- Day shift from 7:00AM to 7:30PM with a required two-week nights rotation during the contract
- Two 13-hour call shifts per six-week scheduling period with a one-hour onsite response expectation
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Uses Epic EMR system;
Epic experience is required - Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops evidence-based care plans in collaboration with providers and families
- Implements and regularly updates patient care interventions based on ongoing evaluation
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Engages in effective communication and collaboration with staff, patients, and visitors to promote a positive environment
- Holds responsibility for patient and staff safety through adherence to nursing standards and reporting of safety hazards
- Provides constructive feedback to peers and supports their professional development
- May not return to assignment within the system without a six-month break after one year of continuous employment
- RTO (Requested Time Off) cannot exceed 7 total days for a 13-week contract
- No travel partner accommodations are available for this assignment
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- Documented Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
