Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night-shift position in a Level 1 Trauma setting, requiring Illinois RN license and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift position, 7:00PM to 7:30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Level 1 Trauma environment
- Care for obstetric patients, including labor, surgical delivery, and newborn care
- Requires experience with Epic electronic medical record system
- Provide comprehensive care for obstetric patients including monitoring fetal well-being, administering medications, and participating in surgical deliveries
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately using Epic
- Perform initial assessments and develop, implement, and modify care plans as needed
- Educate patients and families regarding care and procedures
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
- Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract
- No travel partners accepted
- Candidates may not be on assignment with this health system for more than one year consecutively; 6-month break required before returning
- Active IL RN license or temporary license in good standing
- Minimum of one year recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required and must be clearly documented
- Epic charting experience required
- English proficiency (speak, read, write)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from facility; locals not accepted
