Labor and Delivery Nurses support women throughout labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period. They monitor the mother and baby, provide coaching and education, assist physicians during delivery, and support breastfeeding after birth.

• Patient Care: Monitor labor progress, vital signs, and maternal/fetal status.
• Assist obstetricians and midwives during delivery.
• Provide education and emotional support to mothers and families.
• Support newborn care and breastfeeding education.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

• Minimum of 1 year of current experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D).
• Illinois State Healthcare Provider license or willingness to obtain one.
• Valid BLS certification and at least one of the following: STABLE, ACLS, NRP, PALS, ADV AWHONN.

STABLE, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, ADV AWHONN (one or more required).
