Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with Level 1 trauma and Epic experience for a night shift Labor & Delivery position in Illinois.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital
- Patient population includes obstetric patients and newborns in both standard and surgical deliveries
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- EPIC EMR experience required
- No on-call but must provide up to 7 days of requested time off per 13 week contract
- Floating and trauma care may be required as part of the role
- Care responsibilities include monitoring fetal well-being, medication administration, intrapartum and postpartum care, and patient education
- Team support and feedback are integral to unit operations
- Accurate and timely nursing documentation is expected
- No travel partners accepted for this assignment
- Returning travelers cannot exceed one year of continuous assignment without a six-month break
- Assignment may be cancelled only with 30 days advance notice after start
- Active Illinois RN license or temporary license accepted
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of one year of relevant L&D nursing experience required; three years preferred
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
