Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) night shift position, requiring Level 1 Trauma and Level 3 NICU experience as well as proficiency with Epic.
Responsibilities- Position is in a Level 3 or higher Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
- Neonatal patient population, including care for critically ill newborns
- Night schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week
- Requires use of Epic EMR
- Duties include monitoring neonatal patient intake and output, assisting with breastfeeding initiation, administering medications, and updating care plans based on patient needs
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams during patient rounds and responsibility for detailed documentation
- No travel partner assignments accepted
- Compliance deadlines must be strictly met before start
- Returning travelers must have a 6-month break after 1 year of work at the facility
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing, temporary license accepted
- Minimum three years of recent NICU nursing experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU with Level 1 Trauma center background
- Associate degree in nursing (ASN) required
- BLS and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Experience with Epic EMR for charting
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
