Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level 1 trauma and Epic charting experience for a day shift contract in Illinois.

• Position located in a hospital Operating Room (OR) setting
• Patient population includes general OR cases, including Level 1 trauma
• Day shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts, 7:00AM-5:00PM, with one day off per week (day off TBD)
• On-call required 4 to 5 times per 4-week period, including both weekend and weekday calls
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Duties include preparing the OR suite, performing patient assessments, developing and modifying plans of care, and supporting the surgical team during procedures
• Must maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• RTO (time off) may not exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment
• Contingent workers may not continuously work at the location for more than one year without a 6-month break

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of three years of relevant operating room nursing experience
• Experience in Level 1 trauma setting required
• Demonstrated Epic charting experience required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
