Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Illinois requiring Level 1 trauma and EPIC experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Level 1 trauma patient population
- Uses the EPIC EMR system
- Schedule is 12:00PM to 12:00AM with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Requires 2 call shifts per 6-week period with on-site arrival within one hour when on call
- Includes a 2-week night shift rotation for all travelers
- Responsible for performing initial patient assessment and developing individualized care plans
- Duties include implementing nursing interventions, modifying care based on patient needs, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Promotes safety for patients and staff by adhering to safety standards and reporting hazards
- Expected to collaborate effectively with providers, staff, patients, and families
- No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from facility
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Returning employees may not work at facility more than one continuous year without a 6-month break
- No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
- Current Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of three years of relevant ED nursing experience
- Recent Level 1 trauma experience required
- Documented EPIC charting experience
