Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and promote a safe working environment in all departments.
  • Manage all ordering and planning of commercial products in designated area.
  • Manage scheduling of production in designated production area.
  • Monitor all daily issues of production area.
  • Support applicable equipment and personnel to optimize efficiency responsiveness.

Deliverability and operations:

  • Monitoring of daily production, ensuring that all operations are completed per procedures for products meets all required quality standards.
  • Play key role in overall plant yield improvement program – including work with quality and production.
  • Sourcing Management (Supplier selection for new product, total cost, quality and timing).
  • Collaboration with maintenance and engineering to ensure all critical equipment is properly serviced and maintained to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and control of inventory levels in areas of responsibility.
  • Key role in SIOP process including but not limited to capacity planning (materials and resources) to meet given demand plan.
  • Key role in utilization of work order management team.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by management.
Main Interactions
  • Operations and Management — Daily, constant interaction with Shipping & Receiving, Operations Team, and Management, to enable efficient job performance.
  • Commercial Team/Sales — Variable, minimally weekly in SIOP support, to balance demand requirements with supply constraints.
  • Vendor — Often, to coordinate purchase of material.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels and functional areas of the business.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed capacity and coordinate work across employees and coworkers.
  • Computer literate using MS Office programs with high level of Excel;
    Power BI is a plus. This position uses databases for controlling the data and documentation (JDE).
  • Strong proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, others). JD Edwards experience preferred.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
Qualifications
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Supply chain knowledge:
    Purchasing, Logistics, Inventory control and Scheduling.
  • 5 years of work experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
  • Supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Must be familiar with total quality and continuous improvement methods, including work order management within a manufacturing environment.
