Respiratory Care Practitioner

Overview this position provides respiratory therapy care for patients throughout the hospital.
we are seeking a compassionate and skilled respiratory care practitioner (rcp) with a certified respiratory therapist (crt) credential to join our patient‑centered clinical team. In this role, you will provide high‑quality respiratory care to patients across various age groups and acuity levels, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.

field of study associate's degree

respiratory therapy

or

certificate of completion

respiratory therapy education note:

in a coarc or coarte approved respiratory care program licenses/certifications licensed respiratory care practitioner (rcp) - illinois department of financial and professional regulation (idfpr)

and

certified respiratory therapist (crt) - national board for respiratory care (nbrc)

and

basic life support (bls) within 30 days - american heart association (aha)

and

advanced cardiac life support (acls) within 1 year - american heart association (aha)

and

neonatal resuscitation program (nrp) within 1 year - american academy of pediatrics (aap)

and

pediatric advanced life support (pals) within 1 year - american heart association (aha) registered respiratory therapist (rrt)

within 1 year tests performed: performs only those clia tests that are authorized by the laboratory director and require a degree of skill commensurate with the individual's education, training or experience, and technical abilities.

lab procedures: follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.

record maintenance: maintains records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.

quality control: adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.

corrective action policies: follow the laboratory's established corrective action policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.

corrective action documentation: document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications

problem identification: be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the technical consultant, clinical consultant or director work experience
