Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for inpatient rehab with Illinois SLP license and Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient rehabilitation setting

• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• Serve patients of all ages requiring speech-language pathology services

• Uses Epic EMR system;
Epic charting experience required

• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing, and communication disorders

• Collect case history and integrate input from patients, families, and other professionals

• Develop and implement care plans with measurable and achievable goals

• Modify therapeutic approach based on patient response

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary medical teams and provide family education and training

• Complete documentation according to regulatory and organizational standards

• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13 week contract

• No local candidates accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles away

• Previous contingent workers at this facility must have a 6-month break in service after a one-year assignment before returning

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, Communication Sciences, or related field

• Illinois SLP license required if applicable

• Current BLS (AHA) certification

• Completion of Clinical Fellowship or at least 1 year of clinical experience

• Experience with Epic charting required

• Level 1 trauma experience required

• Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
