Respiratory Care Clinical Support Aide

Overview

The respiratory therapy assistant is responsible for processing respiratory therapy equipment and providing basic assistance to the Respiratory Therapist by performing routine tasks under supervision of a Respiratory Therapist. Provides assistance to the Respiratory Therapist by stocking RT service areas with equipment and supplies, cleaning of equipment, low flow oxygen rounds, blood gas sampling, data collection, etc.

• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Education:
  
  High School Diploma/GED (Required).
• Work Experience:

• Cleaning and processing of respiratory equipment.
• Stocking and organizing supplies and equipment for inpatient respiratory care areas.
• Complete standard low flow oxygen rounds and oximetry for all inpatient respiratory therapy areas.
• Help with data collection and process improvement data collection.
• Help oversee inventory of respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• Assist with cleaning and stocking respiratory care equipment, stocking patient care areas with proper RT equipment, monitoring of monthly airway boxes inpatient and aiding in needs of inpatient respiratory therapists with general patient care needs.

The compensation range for this position is $20.18 per hour - $32.69 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
