Overview
Sign on Bonus Available! $7,500 for more than 1 year experience, $5,000 for less than 1 year experience. Relocation Bonus: $2,500 for more than 50 miles (external candidates only).
Qualifications- Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Certification & Licensure Requirements: Physical Therapist (PT) License in Illinois upon hire
- Experience Requirements: New graduates will be considered
- Additional Requirements: Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients
- Skills and Knowledge: None specified
- Perform patient transfers with assistance as needed and use correct body mechanics
- Show respect by treating patients and colleagues with dignity and empathy
- Design an appropriate plan of care that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan, and adjust the care based on patient response and evidence
- Educate patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods
- Evaluate clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care
- Perform examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to the chief complaint, screening results, and history
- Produce documentation in accordance with the Clinical Process Policy (CTSCP
67) - Screen patients to determine effectiveness and need for therapy services, if appropriate
- Use support personnel according to legal and ethical standards, monitor their performance, and provide feedback
- Complete annual education required for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program if applicable
- Evaluate patients’ impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Establish plan of care based on functional deficits and patient goals
- Complete objective testing for range of motion, strength, and performance of daily functional tasks
- Complete daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR
- Apply taping for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
- Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, interferential, iontophoresis
- Communicate with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
