Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with current BLS and ARDMS or ARRT breast registry certification for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based sonography department
- Monday to Friday day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week on a standard 26-week contract
- Patient population primarily involves breast sonography and related diagnostic procedures
- Use of EPIC EMR for charting is required
- Level 1 Trauma experience is required
- Duties include performing routine and advanced sonography exams, reviewing patient history and labs, and ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging
- Responsible for maintaining imaging equipment, supply inventories, and orderliness of work area
- May assist in instructing students and new staff members as needed
- Potential to perform duties of Sono Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence
- Must maintain patient, visitor, and environmental safety at all times
- No local candidates accepted—candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days for each 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be assigned at this facility for more than one year without a 6-month break before returning
- Associate's degree or certificate of completion in sonography required
- Active BLS certification is required
- Must have breast registry certification (ARDMS or ARRT), accepted credentials include BS, S, RDMS-AB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-OB/GYN, RDMS-PS, RVT-VT, or RVS
- Minimum 1 year of relevant sonography experience is required
- Experience with EPIC EMR is required
- License required if applicable
