Cunningham Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Circle Academy. This role provides direct services to students with speech and language needs in a therapeutic educational setting. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you’ll work closely with students, families, and educational teams to support each child’s communication development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct screenings, diagnostic assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs.
- Provide direct speech/language therapy services, including management of articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers on strategies to support student goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to staff and families.
- Stay current on best practices and continue professional development as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement
- ASHA Certification (CCC‑SLP) required
- Knowledge of speech/language development, special education regulations, trauma‑informed care, and behavior management
- Experience with RTI/MTSS, early childhood development, autism, and assistive technology preferred
- Must be organized, detail‑oriented, and able to communicate effectively across disciplines
- Willingness to travel between Urbana and Rossville campuses as needed
- Competitive salary based on education and experience ($55,250 - $92,135 per year)
- Small class sizes: 10 or fewer students per class
- Additional support staff:
Two additional support staff (Para educator and Teaching Assistant) in every classroom - Tuition Assistance:
