Therapy Aide

Overview

The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager and Director of Ambulatory Rehabilitation, the Mobility Aide is a team member responsible for assisting patients navigating our various care centers safely. All patient care duties performed require supervision by a therapist.

• Assist patients requiring transportation or ambulatory assistance within and throughout the assigned building for scheduled appointments.
• Coordinate with all patient care practices, central registration, and customer service teams within the assigned building.
• Work under the supervision of the Associate Director of the Building.
• Obtain and maintain American Heart Association BLS certification within six months of hire.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 0 years of relevant experience required; 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent ability to work and communicate with patients, visitors, and members of the physical therapy team.
• Proactive and attentive to maintaining a welcoming and safe clinic environment.

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
