Monast Law Office is a well‑established Ohio workers’ compensation plaintiff’s practice with over 40 years of experience representing injured workers. We are a small, dedicated team that has handled more than 10,000 claims. Our firm is built on the belief that nobody calls a lawyer when they’re having a good day—and we treat every client with the compassion and respect they deserve during some of the most difficult times of their lives.

  • Contact healthcare providers to request, follow up on, and track medical records, narrative reports, and other documentation essential to claim development.
  • Communicate with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), self‑insured employers, managed care organizations (MCOs), and third‑party administrators to obtain claim information, file documents, and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and organize claim files, correspondence, and documentation for attorney review.
  • Assist with scheduling medical examinations, independent medical evaluations (IMEs), and Industrial Commission hearings.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in the firm’s case management system.
  • Support the attorney with research, document preparation, and other tasks as needed.
What We’re Looking For

  • Strong working knowledge of BWC procedures, the Industrial Commission process, and Ohio workers’ compensation terminology and workflow.
  • Excellent communication skills—you must be comfortable speaking with clients, medical providers, and government agencies by phone and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with office technology, including case management software, Microsoft Office, and email systems.
  • A professional, compassionate demeanor—our clients are injured workers who deserve patience, empathy, and respect.
Preferred:
  • Experience in a plaintiff’s workers’ compensation law firm.
  • Familiarity with Ohio BWC’s online systems and filing procedures.
  • Paralegal certificate or associate degree (not required but valued).
  • Experience with legal case management software.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of $50,000–$60,000 per year; compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Health insurance.
  • Paid time off and vacation.
  • Flexible work arrangement—we’re open to discussing a schedule that works for both you and the firm.
  • A meaningful role where your work directly impacts the lives of injured workers and their families.
  • A supportive, close‑knit team environment where your contributions are valued.
  • The opportunity to work with an attorney who has four decades of experience and deep expertise in Ohio workers’ compensation law.
