About the Role

This Position is located in the Store Leadership team, responsible for a specific area of the store and supervising the overall store operations when serving as Manager on Duty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
    • Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times
    • Maintain awareness on the sales floor and correct or report unsafe conditions
    • Secure the building, including entrance/exit control, EAS device checks, cash office security, and armored carrier pick‑ups
    • Remove clutter and ensure clear egress to emergency exits
    • Handle customer safety, accident prevention, and emergency procedures
    • Test all fire alarm systems as scheduled and respond to after‑hours alarms when requested
  • Customer Service
    • Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and courtesy
    • Demonstrate friendliness, professionalism, and recognize associates through company programs
  • Personal and Store Brand
    • Represents and supports the company brand at all times
    • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure associates adhere to the dress code
    • Keep all store areas clean, well‑maintained, and merchandised to standard
    • Responsible for daily trash removal
  • General Merchandising
    • Execute recovery, sizing, and markdowns to company standards
    • Handle receiving of merchandise truck and non‑merchandise inbound deliveries
    • Process all merchandise with a sense of urgency and maintain stockroom cleanliness
    • Assist with placement of merchandise on the sales floor and secure back‑stock
    • Perform floor moves and promotional signing as needed
    • Help reduce loss due to damage and ensure compliance with monthly presentation guidelines
  • Loss Prevention
    • Participate in the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and maintain a strong presence on the sales floor
    • Protect confidential, cash, and merchandise information
    • Maintain the Public View Monitor system and conduct package inspections
    • Apply company best practices to maximize productivity and minimize loss
  • Front End Supervision and Operations
    • Ensure associates follow company front‑end standards and maintain pace and energy
    • Train and coach associates on cash registers, shortage control, and other procedures
    • Control break schedules and ensure all equipment functions correctly
    • Maintain supplies and recovery for the front end and accelerate go‑backs
    • Educate associates on the “Scan and Bag” best practice and ensure salability of merchandise
  • Fitting Rooms
    • Maintain and clean fitting rooms and audit garment tags as required
    • Ensure go‑back compliance and proper tagging of returned merchandise
  • Administrative Duties as Assigned by Store Manager
    • Conduct cash pulls and bank deposits per company policy
    • Oversee front‑end control, refund approvals, and cash handling
    • Administer payroll, scheduling compliance, and processing of payroll reports
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager

    Qualifications & Special Skills
    • Excellent verbal communication skills
    • Fluency in English
    • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
    • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends
    Physical Requirements
    • Use store equipment including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required
    • Stand, walk, and move throughout the store up to 100 % of the time
    • Regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
    • Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs
    • Use janitorial and other assigned equipment, ladders, and rolling racks
    • Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 20 lbs
