The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, or life-threatening conditions. The ER RN works in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on severity of condition
• Provide emergency nursing care for trauma, cardiac, neurological, medical, and surgical emergencies
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatments
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency interventions per protocol
• Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, wound care, splinting, and resuscitation
• Operate and monitor emergency equipment (cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilators)
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians, EMTs, specialists, and support staff
• Respond effectively to code situations and mass casualty events

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State-specific)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification
• PALS and TNCC
• Minimum 2 year of ER or acute care experience
