What you’ll do as a Procurement Manager:

  • Establish an overall Procurement Department and strategy which identifies, prioritizes, evaluates, and manages procurement needs and opportunities.
  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the Supply Chain Team and procurement staff on field projects.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for staff delegated authority to perform procurement functions.
  • Perform procurement functions for goods and services for the Estimating Department.
  • Maintain knowledge of Federal Import/Export regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations and MSH’s compliance with the regulations to coach/train staff and ensure compliance.
  • Support the coordination of procurement-related meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist in communicating updates and directives to the procurement team.
  • Manage and oversee completion of tasks performed by Procurement staff.
  • Lead business review meetings with all project procurement staff to review compliance and implement improvements and best practices.
  • Develop compliance indicators for field project procurement. Track and report against performance.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of materials and coordinate storage at Field Offices.
  • Coordinate and report inventory levels with the Accounting Department.
  • Build and maintain relationships with material and vendors.

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement required.
  • Demonstrated experience with US Government acquisition management.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing and procurement strategies, tactics, processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Experience in development of policies and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of federal procurement regulations and USAID regulations
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Negotiation skills
  • Adaptable, creative, collaborative and able to think strategically.
  • Ability to lead in the face of complexity in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Able to work under pressure, take initiative and manage and prioritize work independently.

Salary Range $ 85,000 - $ 100,000 (D.O.E)
