Overview

Join one of the top cancer centers in the nation. Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seeks to hire a full-time Fellowship-trained Colorectal Surgeon for a clinical position to join City of Hope in Upland, CA as primary location. We are seeking research- and mission-minded physicians as every discovery we make and every new treatment we create gives people the chance to live longer, better, and more fully.

The Department of Surgery, Division of Colorectal Surgery, is seeking a board-certified Colorectal Surgeon with training in advanced oncologic colorectal surgery to meet the clinical needs of our program in Southern California. The Colorectal Surgeon can look forward to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with a world-class, nationally recognized multidisciplinary team of top-level surgical and nonsurgical specialists. This is a full-time position reporting to the Division Chief of Colorectal Surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical site in Upland, CA (possibly additional sites within Southern California)
  • The position entails 4–4 1/2 days of clinical work (clinic and OR) and a day for administrative time
  • Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive outpatient and inpatient colorectal surgery management for colon, rectal, and anorectal pathologies with compassionate patient-centered care
  • Established and expanding referral base in Colorectal Surgery in the region
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with an established multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses at a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic facility
  • Possibility to contribute to the development of clinical trials and research studies and pursue academic appointments and participation in educational activities

  • Base Salary Range: $295,000 - $500,000 (Assistant to Professor level). The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications

Board-certified Colorectal Surgeon with fellowship training in colorectal surgery and advanced oncologic colorectal procedures. Experience in clinical trial development and participation in academic activities is desirable.
