Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Upland, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the organization's accounting processes. If you have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and a proactive approach, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.

- Perform cash reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions.

- Manage and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.

- Utilize Quick Books to process and monitor accounting activities efficiently.

- Generate detailed financial reports for review and analysis.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and processes.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends and assist in decision-making.

- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to meet deadlines. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

- A minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles.

- Proficiency in Quick Books is essential.

- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

- Strong understanding of general ledger activity, including debits and credits.

- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workload.

- A proactive and collaborative team player who demonstrates initiative and eagerness to learn.
