ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – STUDENT HOUSING & DINING FACS
The University of Alabama at Birmingham
This position serves as the primary contact for general facility and equipment conditions of over fifteen (15) food venues across campus hosting over 300,000 customers annually. In conjunction with their supervisor, Director of Student Housing and Dining Facilities, this position is responsible for the management of these venues comprising approximately 200,000 square feet of space and over $20 million in annual sales through our third‑party vendor.
This position also serves on the leadership team primarily responsible for approximately 3,400 students' safety, security, and comfort related to physical facilities and systems; in conjunction with their supervisor, Director of Student Housing and Dining Facilities, this position is responsible for the management of a significant amount of square footage, approximately 1,120,000 sq ft between six residence halls in addition to the above Dining Facilities square footage.
Duties & Responsibilities
$52,555 – $60,000
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Business Management, Student Personnel Administration, Public Administration or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Licenses / Certifications / RegistrationsDriving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current guidelines include possession of a valid driver's license issued in the United States, at least 21 years of age and at least 3 years of driving experience. Must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
