CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR I (PART-TIME) (T231682)
DescriptionThe University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Med - Pulmonary/Allergy/Critical Care, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I (Part‑Time).
Responsibilities & Duties- Collect and record preliminary data for clinical research programs.
- Recruit and perform follow‑up visits and phone calls with research participants as per protocol.
- Schedule visits according to research protocols.
- Assist in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
- Assist with correcting findings.
- Assist with completion of Case Report Forms (CRF) per protocol.
- Assist with development of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality assurance.
- Perform general clerical duties (faxing, scanning, routing messages, coordinating purchase of supplies/materials).
- Perform various medical procedures under supervision.
- Assist in compiling, editing, and proofing written reports for internal and external administrative offices.
- Use Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems necessary for operations under supervision.
- Comfortable using a variety of electronic platforms; possess general computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Have excellent communication skills and ability to engage in group meetings and discussions.
- Ability to work closely with investigators and senior research coordinators; strong work ethic.
- Health science or health professional degree disciplines.
- Ability to follow established regulations, procedures, and protocols; gather data and document procedures.
- Experience with UAB-specific portals such as REDCap, OnCore, and Greenphire.
- Willingness to learn clinical skills such as phlebotomy, obtaining vital signs, and pulmonary function testing.
- Demonstrated ability to plan work and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
