Empower staff to embed Indigenous knowledge and culturally responsive teaching across University programmes.

You’ll also be part of the Teaching Enhancement team — a collaborative, forward‑thinking group within Learning & Teaching Excellence that thrives on innovation, relationship‑building, and making a real difference for staff and students.

In this role, you’ll connect with Māori communities, influence curriculum design, and lead initiatives that create real, lasting change. If you’re driven by impact, relationships, and advancing Indigenous knowledge, this is a place where your expertise genuinely matters.

Some tasks of the role include:
  • Leading teaching initiatives and contributing to strategic education priorities
  • Developing guidelines for consistent pedagogical use of LMS and digital tools
  • Providing expert advice on culturally responsive pedagogy
  • Co‑designing curriculum that reflects Indigenous worldviews
  • Delivering training, workshops, and mentoring for academic staff
  • Coordinating teaching observations, induction, and professional development programmes

Permanent role, 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) at our Lincoln Campus. Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You will have:

  • Experience in tertiary education, including developing or supporting teaching practice
  • Strong pedagogical knowledge and proficiency with learning technologies (Moodle preferred)
  • Demonstrated commitment to cultural competency, Te Tiriti, and Indigenous advancement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse groups
  • Strong communication, planning, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Alignment with Manaakitaka and Lincoln University values.
