Position Title Senior Program Manager, Industry Relations
UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships (BEP) is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Industry Relations to support the development, coordination, and management of industry relationships across Research, Innovation and Economic Development at the University s role will support and steward the creation of high-impact partnerships with industry that advance research collaboration, workforce development, technology commercialization, and regional economic growth. The position will be based out of the BEP department, but will help coordinate industry engagement with other units across the UB enterprise, and also with external partners to identify opportunities and execute partnerships that align with UB’s institutional priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as point of contact for select corporate and industry partners, managing relationships from initial engagement through execution.
- Work within a team of BEP business development colleagues to support large-scale proposals, consortia, and regional or national initiatives.
- Coordinate BEP industry engagement efforts with other units at UB.
- Support the cultivation and management of strategic industry partnerships, including corporate-sponsored research, workforce initiatives, and applied research collaborations.
- Leverage UB faculty expertise, research and technologies to market UB to industry and create new opportunities for collaborations that can result in licensing and sponsored research.
- Help to educate researchers in reaching out to industry and coordinate cross-campus engagement with faculty, research centers, and academic leadership to develop industry-facing opportunities.
- Support partnership structures related to workforce development, non-degree and degree pathways, and technology translation.
- Track partnership activity, outcomes, and performance metrics in coordination with BEP leadership.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required and at least three years of related experience;
Requirements may be satisfied by an equivalent combination of education and experience - Demonstrated experience working with industry partners, research institutions, or economic development organizations
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries in a complex, research-intensive environment
- Advanced degree in an appropriate field
- Experience in business development, corporate partnerships, workforce development, or applied research environments
- Familiarity with higher education, research commercialization, or public–private partnerships
- Experience supporting large-scale initiatives, proposals, or consortia
$90,000 - $110,000
Additional Salary InformationThe salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
