Postdoc Scholar POSITION SPECIFICS
The Kaye Lab at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar. The work includes the following fields of science in order of importance for the project: soil science, agronomy, weed science, forage management.
In particular, the postdoc will be in charge of soil health measurements in the plots as well as leading perennial forage planting and biomass sampling.
Responsibilities- Organizing team meetings approximately biweekly
- Leading soil health measurements in replicated forage diversity plots, including soil coring and subsequent lab analysis
- Leading a team in sampling forage biomass several times, including field biomass collection and subsequent lab drying and weighing
- Synthesizing results and writing drafts of annual reports to the USDA
- Contributing to peer-reviewed publications of the work
The successful candidate must have completed all Ph.D. degree requirements by the appointment date.
