Student Health Services Nurse Practitioner

- Location:
University Park, Pennsylvania (University Health Services). - Schedule:
Monday–Friday during the academic year, with occasional Saturday hours as needed. - Full‑time equivalency: 75% (FTE). FTE months off will be determined by the position’s effort level.
- Remote/hybrid work approval is not guaranteed.
- Review patient medical history and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Provide healthcare services and patient education aimed at preventing health issues and promoting overall wellness.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient management and treatment plans.
- Counsel and educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Perform essential medical and minor surgical procedures as required.
- Deliver a variety of acute medical interventions and manage urgent health concerns.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Exchange clinical information and ensure continuity of care within the broader healthcare system.
- Coordinate with case managers and Workers’ Compensation representatives for injury‑related cases.
- Maintain awareness of healthcare funding sources and payment systems to provide cost‑effective care.
- Serve on committees, task forces, and working groups as assigned.
- Provide training and educational support for staff and contribute to the education of interns and medical students.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives that advance the delivery of high‑quality care.
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Required certification:
Registered Nurse Practitioner – Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check.
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form.
- Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
