Position Summary
WPSU is seeking a part‑time Events & Education Assistant to support the planning, preparation, and execution of community events, workshops, and educational initiatives. This position is well suited for an energetic, service‑oriented individual, particularly someone with a background in teaching who enjoys hands‑on work and engaging with the public.

Job Type: Part‑Time
Hours: 10 hours per week
Work Location: Outreach Building, University Park
Schedule Requirements: Some evenings and weekends required
Compensation: $15.00/hour
Responsibilities- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging tables, chairs, signage, and materials
- Support event coordinators during events, workshops, and outreach activities
- Track event details and maintain supply inventories
- Prepare materials, kits, and resources for educational programs
- Complete administrative tasks related to event planning and documentation
- Collaborate with team members and take initiative in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 pounds; with or without accommodations
- Availability for evening and weekend events
- Ability to work two partial weekdays on‑site in the Outreach Building
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to be an active, engaged member of the Events and Education team
- Comfort with hands‑on, physical tasks and dynamic event environments
- Experience in education, community engagement, or youth/family programming
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with diverse audiences
- Ability to adapt quickly and contribute ideas to improve event experiences
