Academic Program Coordinator, School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture
The School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (Stuckeman School) is seeking to hire an experienced administrative professional as an Academic Program Coordinator - Senior Support for the
Department of Architecture.
The Academic Program Coordinator will focus on the day-to-day administrative operations of the department, provide administrative support to the department head, serve as the department's Undergraduate Program Coordinator, and oversee and organize awarding of scholarships and student competitions.
In addition to being the primary contact for undergraduate architecture students and applicants, the Academic Program Coordinator will work directly with faculty, the advising staff, and many external constituents.
More specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the department head's calendar, schedule meetings, and arrange travel. Compile and organize data, agendas, and other meeting materials for committees chaired and/or attended by the department head.
- Collaborate with faculty and department leadership to forecast course/certificate enrollment; retrieve, compile, and analyze course data; assess classroom space and instructor requirements; plan, schedule, and finalize sections, classrooms, and exams; respond to course availability and enrollment inquiries; order textbooks.
- Create and maintain databases; compile academic data and prepare reports for department leadership related to enrollment data, student progress and experience, and accreditation information.
- Plan and coordinate events including graduation receptions, orientations, summer days, prospective student visits, open houses, and other program events; arrange volunteer schedules for events.
- Coordinate scholarship, assistantship, and fellowship data and funds; prepare award letters, notify donors, monitor expenses, prepare and analyze financial reports; assign and monitor teaching assistant class assignments.
The Academic Program Coordinator will work both independently and collaboratively, utilizing organizational and multi-tasking skills, to complete the position's responsibilities. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
This position will have an in-person work arrangement. The Stuckeman School Office offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus workdays, coordinated by the staff manager.
Education and Experience:This position will be filled at the Senior Support level, which requires a minimum of an Associate degree and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and prior experience working in a direct administrative support role are required. Experience working with database systems is preferred.
