Elementary School Teacher

The Freedom School is a Christian private elementary school located in an urban setting, serving 134 students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade. The school is committed to creating a safe and nurturing learning environment where children from diverse beliefs, races, ethnicities, and economic backgrounds are brought together and reconciled with one another. Its mission is to empower students to reach their potential as restored image-bearers and servant-leaders, guided by a knowledgeable and caring staff with a research-driven curriculum.

This is a full-time, on-site Elementary School Teacher role at The Freedom School, located in University City, MO. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons based on the school's research-based curriculum, creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, and fostering academic, social, and spiritual growth among students. Additional responsibilities include assessing student progress, collaborating with colleagues and parents, and participating in school-wide activities that embody the school’s mission and values.

• Experience and skills in Teaching and Elementary Education
• Proficiency in Curriculum Development and instructional planning
• Strong Communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Passion for education and a commitment to fostering growth in children
• Degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification is preferred
• Experience with Christian education is a plus
• Ability to integrate faith and learning in alignment with the school's mission and values
