We’re now seeking an energetic, highly driven, and detail-oriented Competitions Coordinator to lead our tournament operations and help scale our events.
What you'll doWe are seeking an experienced and highly organized Competitions Coordinator to lead the planning and delivery of youth and adult sports tournaments across the region. This role will oversee the full competition lifecycle, from scheduling and logistics to on-site execution and post-event evaluation, ensuring every event is delivered at the highest operational standard. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager, an excellent communicator, and someone who thrives in fast-paced, multi-event environments.
As Competitions Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tournament planning, execution, and post-event review.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of tournaments, leagues, and showcase events.
- Build and manage detailed competition schedules, field allocations, staffing plans, and operational timelines.
- Oversee on-site event operations, troubleshooting, and real-time decision-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clubs, coaches, referees, facility partners, and internal staff.
- Coordinate with marketing, registration, and finance teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Maintain and optimize competition management systems (Got Sport, scheduling platforms, reporting tools).
- Develop standardized operating procedures to improve efficiency and event quality.
- Lead post-event evaluations, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sports event management, tournament operations, or related project management roles.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Proficiency with competition management platforms and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Experience in youth soccer, league operations, or referee / facility coordination.
- Familiarity with Got Sport, Play Metrics, or similar registration and scheduling systems.
- Prior leadership or staff
