Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant)  Starting Hourly Rate is $17.50 USD per hour. The Pay Range is $17.50 USD - $26.25 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and advise on current promos, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Explain how to use Target App features including Wallet; direct guests to enroll in Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering, and assist with activation and use of these features.
• Handle returns following store policies, escalating to leaders as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available to assist guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders, and related duties in compliance with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where relevant).
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office activities as needed.
• Scan, move, and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance is necessary.
• Ability to remain mobile for scheduled shift duration and work in varying temperatures and conditions for tasks such as Drive-Up or carryout.
