Overview

Assistant Store Manager – Help grow Total Wine & More by delivering best‑in‑class service, driving sales, and fostering a welcoming, knowledgeable store atmosphere.

Base Pay

$26.63/hr – $38.35/hr

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and leading the store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Support day‑to‑day operations: payroll, inventory, merchandising, and shrink.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example, fostering a welcoming and knowledgeable store atmosphere, and resolving customer issues.
  • Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of work experience, with 2+ years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail setting.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales‑focused team.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule required by business, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Walk, bend, and be on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
  • Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
