The role provides leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You’ll lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. Prior tax preparation experience is not required. You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time January–April. This role is in-person.
What you’ll do- Front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office-related growth objectives for three tax offices.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concerns.
- Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for growth plan execution and leading towards a growth culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset to understand and exceed client needs.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).

Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $40.00/hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on experience, education, and location.
