Data Analyst
The United Workers Union is seeking a highly motivated Data Officer in the Data and Systems Team.
This role can be performed in any of the major capital cities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Analysis: Undertake iterative exploration and investigation of union data trends. This includes analysis of joins and resignations, with a specific focus around retention metrics.
- Membership system user support: Assist users by preparing reports, retrieving data and making system changes through a support desk intake system.
- Data entry: Perform data entry and data update tasks, including the creation of records, individual and bulk update of records.
- Data cleaning: Undertake small and large projects to improve data quality, consistency and structure of membership system records.
- Present Data to Non-Technical Audiences: Use tools and products to deliver data-driven insights to non-technical audiences through clear visualisations, explanations and presentations.
The Data Officer demonstrates:
- Demonstrated data/business analytics experience within a similar role
- Ability to extract, manipulate and model data
- Ability to visualise data and present it in meaningful ways to a range of audiences, previous experience with Power
BI is an advantage - Skilled communicator who focuses equally on the delivery of insights & the data supporting it
- Understanding of research and how it works symbiotically with data
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in working with CRMs
- Proficiency with SQL, R, Python or similar data manipulation languages is an advantage
- Attention to detail/processes and a commitment to consistent use and storage of data.

To perform this job, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:
- Right of Entry Permits
- Immunisation against COVID-19 or have a medical exemption
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:
Salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience;
- 16% superannuation
- 6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading
