Contract type: 1 year fixed term (May 2026 - June 2027)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid remote, 3 days a week in the London office

Position OverviewThe People Data, Insight & Reward Manager is a key role within the FT’s People team, responsible for overseeing the people analytics, reporting, and reward functions. This position leads a small team and works closely with other departments and senior partners to provide insightful data‑driven recommendations, ensure the integrity of compensation structures, and drive the People systems digital transformation. The ideal candidate will be highly numerate, have an understanding and experience using Workday, be comfortable with pay benchmarking practices, and possess excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management:
- Lead and develop a team of two technical specialists in the People function.
- Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Prepare regular quarterly people and engagement reports.
- Utilise advanced data analytics to provide actionable insights for the People leadership team and business leaders.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of People data.
- Reward Function Management:
- Maintain the job architecture and ensure up-to-date pay ranges.
- Lead compensation benchmarking and reward processes, addressing ad hoc benchmarking requests from the business.
- Prepare and deliver regular presentations on compensation and reward strategies.
- Union Negotiations:
- Participate in union negotiations (US & UK), providing data‑driven insights to support the negotiation process.
- Collaborate with Editorial and People leadership to address compensation and reward‑related matters related to unions.
- People Systems Digital Transformation:
- Drive the advancement of People systems, focusing on digital transformation.
- Ensuring data integrity, privacy and security within all People systems.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior partners including FT Board members.
- Establish and maintain a relationship with key collaborators in the Tech and Finance departments.
- Act as a trusted advisor on People data, insight, and reward matters.
- Communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner.
- Experience using Workday
- Skilled at People (HR) data analytics and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience using salary benchmarking tools and working knowledge of other reward processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead and develop a team.
