Employment Counselor / Vocational Specialist - $5k Sign-on Bonus

Location:

Union, NJ – Union County

Salary: $48,000 - $54,000 annually

Work hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (40 hours/week)

As part of a multi-disciplinary, core services team, the Employment Counselor / Vocational Specialist provides assessment and direct service to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness enrolled in the PACT Program. They assess individuals’ education and work history, and develop plans and interventions in conjunction with the individual and the team in the area of employment/career services.

• Perform vocational assessment and direct employment/career services to program participants
• Collaborate with participants and the team to develop employment plans
• Engage participants in job preparation, placement, and coaching activities as appropriate

• Bachelor’s in a behavioral science from an accredited institution
• 2 years’ experience in vocational assessment, job preparation, or individualized job placement and/or job coaching with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness
• Valid driver’s license required - No more than one moving violation within the past 12 months
