Deposit Operations Specialist - Temp-to-Hire

Location:

Union, NJ (Onsite)

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment Type:

Temp-to-Hire

Salary: $20–$26 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, process, reconcile, and review transactions related to deposit accounts
  • Handle daily exception processing of non-post items by researching and posting debits/credits
  • Verify and release end‑of‑day batches and complete return processing
  • Research and resolve daily account discrepancies or changes, including rate changes, with appropriate documentation
  • Review stop‑payment suspects and communicate with branches for supporting information
  • Manage incoming/outgoing Federal Reserve Bank adjustments
  • Process check claims related to fraud cases reported by clients via branch
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in banking or financial operations preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving skills
  • Comfortable working with confidential financial data
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
