The General Manager of Mitigation is responsible for overseeing all restoration production operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably. This leader will drive operational excellence across mitigation, contents, and large-loss projects while partnering closely with ownership and sales to support scalable growth.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, metrics-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to balance people leadership, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day restoration operations, including mitigation, contents handling, and large-loss projects
Manage, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Production Managers, and field teams
Ensure compliance with company standards, SOPs, safety requirements, and industry best practices
Monitor and optimize job costing, margins, cycle times, productivity, and key performance indicators
Partner with estimating and sales teams to ensure accurate scoping and seamless project handoffs
Utilize Xactimate, internal dashboards, and CRM systems for performance tracking and reporting
Oversee scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and vendor relationships
Resolve escalated client, carrier, and adjuster concerns professionally and efficiently
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and profitability
8+ years of experience in restoration operations, construction management, or a related field
Proven leadership experience managing multiple teams and concurrent projects
Strong working knowledge of mitigation, reconstruction, and insurance-driven restoration workflows
Proficiency with Xactimate and job-costing methodologies
IICRC certifications preferred (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, etc.)
Strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
Experience with restoration franchise or multi-branch operations
Commercial and/or large-loss project leadership experience
Demonstrated success scaling operations and improving margins
