- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Nurses include:
Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans; prepare and administer prescribed medications; record patients' medical information and vital signs; monitor and adjust specialized equipment; initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology; provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients; change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs; prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient;
respond to life‑saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol; participate in discharge planning; utilize time management skills; record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms; perform other position‑related duties as assigned.
- Current LPN or RN license in State.
- At least one year of experience as a LPN or RN in a Long Term Care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Matrixcare preferred.
