Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00/hour

3 days/week 6AM-230PM

Job Summary

• Performs assigned Housekeeping tasks within the Masonic Homes as directed
• Uses essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Receives and follows written and verbal Housekeeping schedules and instructions from Supervisor or Manager
• Cleans assigned and scheduled common areas
• Clean and disinfects areas as assigned to include furniture, walls, common restrooms, offices, resident rooms, common areas, glass, doors, nursing stations, dining rooms, and any other area requiring disinfecting or cleaning
• Clean resident apartments, including bathrooms, sinks, showers/tubs, toilets, counters, walls and mirrors, windowsills, pictures on walls, doors, closets, dressers, nightstands and telephones
• Remove all trash from apartments and common areas, ensure trash containers are clean and relined
• Properly clean any biohazard spill or report hazard immediately
• Always place out wet floor signs prior to wet mopping or in case of spills, floods, or overflow
• Maintain a good working relationship with fellow workers or supervisors
• Work safely; do not endanger coworkers, staff or residents
• Respond to emergencies and clean affected area as required
• Inform and submit any malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or director
• Report safety issues requiring attention
• Understand, learn, and follow all Safety Data Sheets as written
• Maintain housekeeping cart and closet in a clean and safe manner
• Handle and dispose of infectious waste safely and properly
• Regular attendance

• Completes work and projects in a timely manner, as determined by supervisor/manager
• Follows through on assigned work and communicates problems to management
• Identifies and reports facility or equipment issues
• Seeks additional work when assigned tasks are completed
• Delivers quality work in a professional manner
• Follows directions and policies established by supervision
• Flexible in covering other shifts and schedules as needed

• Ensures residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, privacy, property, and civil rights are respected
• Maintains confidentiality of resident care information
• Reports incidents/accidents and unsafe conditions; maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area

• Minimum six months experience in a comparable position
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Familiar with working successfully with older adults
• Spoken and written English fluency to follow resident requests and work directions, safety precautions
