, is seeking a Maintenance Manager in our Union City, MI operations. As a Maintenance Manager, you will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing Equipment Maintenance Techs; you will supervise departments and work to achieve plant goals while maintaining a high standard for safety, quality, and productivity.

Arcosa Shoring Products makes trench shoring equipment for the construction industry. Our dedicated team builds high-quality trench shields and shoring products that are made to last.

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7 am to 4:30 pm

What you’ll do:
  • Manage and direct work of Maintenance Department
  • Manage major capital projects as needed
  • Facilitate and train all Maintenance employees on equipment repair and electrical troubleshooting
  • Facilitate the training of personnel on process requirements and technical documentation
  • Identify needs for tooling and fixturing
  • Focus on innovation
  • Participate in Op/Ex events
  • Participate in the design of fixtures and tooling
  • Engage with factory area to address systemic issues to root cause/corrective action/preventive action to reduce scrap and rework.
  • Assist in creating or editing machine programs, coding
  • Special projects as assigned
Desired qualifications:
  • Two year degree from a Technical College
  • Electrical experience
  • Microsoft Office suite experience and proficiency with Excel preferred
  • Experience in a LEAN manufacturing organization preferred
  • Excellent ability to communicate and interface with peers
  • Experience conducting meetings preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making abilities
Working Conditions
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 2 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
