Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Purpose
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
Location: Union City, CA
Shift: 3rd

Job Responsibilities- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts; installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- LUBRICATES and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test performance.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills.
- Upbeat and friendly personality.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to operate various office machines and computers; bilingual preferred but not required (ability to speak Spanish).
- Proficient in computer applications and software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Candidates should have their own tools.
- Pay rate is $40.33/hr.
