Outform is seeking a detail‑oriented and creative Production Artist to join our team. This mid‑level role is ideal for someone with solid experience in preparing print‑ready files and collaborating across departments to bring retail display concepts to life. You’ll be responsible for adapting client artwork to engineering specifications, performing light design work when needed, and ensuring high‑quality output for print and fabrication.
You may also assist in prototype production and assembly as needed.
- Prepare and adapt artwork files for print production, including layout adjustments and minor design edits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure artwork aligns with engineering drawings and production specs.
- Conduct quality checks on files before sending to print, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Provide digital proofs and manage revisions based on feedback.
- Maintain organized records of job status and file versions.
- Support prototype creation and assist in physical production when required.
- Maintain equipment and software used in the design and production process.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a production or pre‑press role, preferably in a retail or display environment.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) on Mac OS.
- Strong understanding of pre‑press workflows, file setup, and print production standards.
- Familiarity with die lines, bleeds, spot colors, resolution requirements, and font management.
- Experience working with large‑format printers and substrates is a plus.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into accurate graphic layouts.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience with image retouching, compositing, or illustration is a plus.
- Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, and Word for project tracking and communication.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Smartsheet for workflow and project management.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials or prototypes up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.
